Lately...

Don't you love this time of year? The leaves are falling, the weather is getting chilly, sweaters are coming out of the closet, and hot chocolate is being made. I love it all! Especially because of the fun holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Holidays are even more fun when you have kids to share it with. Savannah is at such a fun age... I love watching her get excited about fun things the holidays bring.

Stephen and I got a date night! YAY! No kids... just us... it was great. We enjoyed our favorite sub at firehouse grill and used our gift card at Cinemark and saw Twilight.

Thanksgiving day we lounged around that morning and spent the afternoon at Stephen's sister Rachel's with the rest of his family. We indulged in delicious food and ate WAY too much pie! I have so many things to be grateful for. On the top of my list is these three ... don't know what I would do without them!

Christmas decorations are up and we are enjoying every minute of it. Savannah is very fascinated with all the lights and all the ornaments on the tree.

I seriously can't wait until Tammy Lee can interact with Savannah. Savannah is so cute with her I love how sweet she is to T-Lee. Sav has transitioned so well to a new baby in the home and I am so grateful.
Although Sav is such a sweetheart most of the time she can be quite stubborn. She is going through a phase right now where she refuses to let me dress her or change her diaper. It is a battle everyday to get her dressed. I am starting to give her choices of different outfits so she can feel independent by choosing it on her own. It helps some of the time... but man she can be a little stinker sometimes... gotta love her!

Tammy Lee is growing up so fast! She is 2 months old and is already 11 pounds! She is so good at holding her head up and does great in the bumbo. She is starting to coo and if I work real hard she will even give me a smile. She has those baby blue eyes just like her dad and has chubby cheeks just like Savannah did. She has such a calm and chill personality. I still can't believe she is already 2 months old... time flies by way too fast!

Tammy Lee

Tammy Lee is 2 months old! Time has flown by so fast and I can't believe how big she is getting. She is starting to get some nice rolls on her legs and her cheeks are getting so chubby. I am loving it! She is still the sweetest baby ever. So calm and so easy. I feel very blessed to have such a good baby. She is now sleeping 6 hour stretches at night which is heavenly. She fits into 0-3 month old clothes now and will be off the monitors soon!
We love our Tammy Lee!

Snow Day

We had a big snow last week and it was so fun to watch Savannah enjoy and play in the snow. While it was snowing she kept pointing outside in aww of what was falling from the sky. I hadn't gotten her any snow clothes yet so we ran to Savers and bought her some snow pants for $1.99 and a hat and mittens from Target. Stephen built her a slide out of snow and she was in heaven. She would climb up the back of the slide and would slide down on her tummy with a big smile on her face. She didn't want any help climbing up the slide and would tell you no when you came near to help. She would fall over and over again trying to climb up it but eventually she would do it all be herself. She is very independent and is so proud when she can do things on her own. I love her cute personality! All bundled up in her snow clothes and ready to go play!

My cute Savannah...

When your a mom you get a lot less sleep. That is something I have just come to accept and have realized it is just something that comes along with parenthood. Last night Stephen and I went to bed around 10:30. I fed Tammy Lee, bundled her up in her blanky, and put her in her crib. She woke up around 2:30 and as I was feeding her I heard Savannah start to cry. It took me by surprise because she has been sleeping through the night for quite sometime. Stephen sleeps like a rock and I didn't want to wake him up because these next couple weeks are super busy and stressful since finals are coming up. I decided that after I finished feeding T-Lee I would go see what Savannah needed if she was still crying. I went into her room, she reached for me and she said, "Mama... pee pee." I picked her up and sure enough she was covered in pee. As I took of her pajamas and changed her diaper she kept saying "tank too"(which means thank you) over and over again. It was like she was saying "this was all I needed mom.. I was just so uncomfortable... thank you!" After I changed her sheets I gave her a big hug and kiss and said, "are you ready to go back to bed?" She nodded her head yes and gladly layed back in her crib. I love those moments of being a mom. Savannah is such a sweet and good girl. This age is so fun and she is learning tons. I love her so much!

Love Flashes

I love these two! I never knew being a mom could be so rewarding. I am having so many love flashes this morning and wanted to write down my thoughts!

Savannah is such a sweet big sister. She loves Tammy Lee and loves to give her kisses and hugs every time she is near. If she is fussy she will run over and give her the binky or pat her back. She is fascinated by her little toes and fingers and loves when T-Lee will hold her finger. It will be so fun when Tammy Lee is older and they can play together.

Tammy Lee is the perfect newborn. She is very calm and very content. She is such a great sleeper and was a pro nurser from the get go. Her little neck is getting stronger and she is getting bigger everyday. There is a sweet spirit that a newborn brings to your home... they are so fresh from heaven and we are loving every minute of having her in our family!

Cuties!

No more oxygen for Tammy Lee! WOO HOO!

She loves the binky. I am kinda loving it because Savannah never would take the binky. I know it will be hard taking her off the binky but I am loving it for convenience right now!

Getting some good use out of the double stroller thats for sure! The weather has been nice this last week and we have been taking full advantage!

I love this coat my mom got Savannah. She is growing up so fast!

Halloween Thrills

Gotta love halloween time. Dressing up, parties, and of course the candy. I love that Savannah is getting older and can really enjoy the holidays and all the fun things that come along with them. She had a blast at our ward trunk or treat and was pretty intrigued with all the candy she was accumulating. I didn't really have our costumes planned in advance like I usually do. I was actually just planning on having Sav and Tammy Lee dress up so I didn't have to worry about buying something for Stephen and I. Plans changed last minute and my sweet aunt let us borrow some cute costumes they had. I was Tinker belle, Stephen was Peter Pan and Sav was the crocodile. I also bought Tammy Lee a little pumpkin outfit a couple weeks ago and when I went to put it on her it was WAY too small... that girl is growing fast!
We had fun celebrating halloween and it makes me that much more excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Gotta love this time of year! It is my favorite!

They are pretty darn cute if I don't say so myself!

OMG I could eat her... so stinkin cute!

Is there anything better than a newborn? I love how snuggly they are and they are so sweet and innocent.

Halloween night we went to the Covey's. We had fun decorating cookies, taking pictures, eating soup, and mingling. Savannah was in heaven with all the kiddos to play with... she is so social.

Chase and Jessie costume is so perfect. Love Repunzel and Flynn!

This is Stacey...my amazing cousin! Can I just tell you how much I love Stacey. She is one of the most kind, giving, helpful people I know. During all the crazyness of being in the hospital, then bed rest, then the NICU Stacey was willing to help in anyway possible. She watched Savannah multiple times, visited me in the hospital to keep me company, and brought me my favorite treat multiple times...Krispie Kreme donuts. ;) The day I went into labor she happened to stop by my house and said she would stay with Savannah while my mom and I ran to the hospital. Stephen didn't get back until midnight that night and she had Savannah bathed and tucked in bed. She is seriously the best... I can't thank her enough for all she has done for me!

Man I have one hot hubby!

Hope everyone else had a great halloween!!
