Teddy

My Grandma Felt gave me this teddy bear for Christmas when I was younger. It is so soft and cuddly. I had it in Savannah's room when she was born and the last year she has become so attached to it. She sleeps with it in her bed and drags it everywhere around the house. She likes the teddy to eat snacks with her, watch Elmo with her, and do puzzles with her. Sometimes I will grab the Teddy's arms and act as if he is picking up toys or doing a puzzle on his own and she loves it. When the bear isn't in sight she will raise her hands in the air and say, "Teddy?" Luckily it is a big teddy bear so we always find him fairly quickly... it is kind of impossible to loose him.

Here she is loving her Teddy!

Tammy Lee 4 months old

My little 5 pound preemie baby is not so little anymore! Tammy Lee is already 4 months and I can hardly believe it. Time passes by so quickly. She is growing up so fast and is so chubby I can hardly stand it. She has the squishiest cheeks and has rolls all over her thighs. It is so cute. Her cheeks are so big that you can't even see her neck...I love it!

Her neck is getting so strong and she can hold it up really well. We still do tummy time daily much to her dismay... she isn't the biggest fan of tummy time.

She is such a good sleeper and only wakes up once during the night to eat.

She loves when you talk to her and will give you the biggest smile.

She has a very calm temperment and is such a good baby.

She loves the binky!

She loves when Savannah interacts with her and always gives her big smiles.

She loves sucking her hands and fingers until her shirt is covered with drool.

She has beautiful big blue eyes.

Her hair is getting lighter and lighter like Savannah's did. I am assuming she will be a blondy as well!

We are loving watching Tammy Lee grow... I just wish time would slow down... she is growing up too fast!

Lost Socks

My cute sister in law Jessie and I have been having fun making crafts together. She found this cute idea on pinterest and we went to town with it.

I think it turned out pretty darn cute and it works well hanging in my laundry room!

Chop

I finally got brave and cut my hair! I was so ready for a change and my hair was in serious need of something new... I had some major split ends! I am loving the shorter hair. There are so many benefits to it: you use less shampoo and conditioner, it takes less time to blow dry and style, and it's a whole lot lighter!
I am happy with the results! Thanks Trisha!

Daddy's Girl

Over Christmas break Stephen had a 3 week break from school and was able to spend all his time with us. We were all in heaven having him home with us... especially Savannah. She adores Stephen and was thrilled to see him each morning when she woke up. Yesterday Stephen started a new semester of school and when Savannah woke up she kept calling his name and went looking for him everywhere.

She went into every room and finally came to me with her hands in the air and said, "dada?" I said, "Daddy is back at school and he isn't home.... but Mommy is here."She looked at me with a look of dismay and said, "Oh noooooo!" Should I be hurt by that? ;) haha

It was so sweet to see how much she loves Stephen. I love their relationship... she is so lucky to have a dad who loves, adores, plays, tickles, and chases her daily.

Love those two!

Sickies

This winter has been a rough one. I have tried to be extra careful about going places that are public to make sure Tammy Lee doesn't catch anything going around since she is still so young. Sadly, last Tuesday I starting not feeling to good. My throat was killing me, my body ached, and I was congested. It was a nasty virus and as much as I tried to not spread my sickness to everyone in my family it is almost impossible when you live under the same roof. Saturday night just as I was finally feeling slightly better Savannah started coming down with it. :(
Around 6:00 she became very somber and just wanted to be held and cuddled... she ended up falling asleep on the couch at 6:30 and you could tell she was just miserable. She had rosy cheeks and a bad cough. Next thing I know Tammy Lee is sneezing up a storm and can hardly breath out of her nose.
It is so sad seeing your babies sick and hurting. There is honestly nothing worse.

We were also planning on blessing Tammy Lee at church today but had to cancel last minute due the girls being sick. I contacted all our family members last minute to cancel so they wouldn't all show up at our church building at 9AM.  Lets hope by the time we get around to blessing T-Lee her dress will still actually fit.

If what they have is the same thing I had it lasted for about 6 days. Being sick is no fun... no fun at all!

Stephen is trying to protect himself from getting sick. He starts law school again on Monday and can't afford to be sick. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Family Pictures in 2012

My great friend Maleen took our family pictures again this year! Remember the ones she took last year found here? Crazy how much Savannah has grown since then and can't  believe we have another addition to our family. ;)
I loved how the pictures turned out. We decided to do the photo shoot inside our house since Tammy Lee was a newborn and it was so chilly outside.
Here are a couple of my favs! Thanks Maleen!

Jett Family Adventures!

Every one of Stephen's siblings and their families live here in Utah so we get to see them often. His older brother Ben is the only one that lives in GA with his wife Christy and their 3 kids. They flew out to Utah Christmas day and spent a week here. We had all kinds of fun things planned and had a blast spending time with his family. I am truly grateful to have such fun, loving, kind in-laws. Savannah was in heaven playing with her cousins and doing fun activities each day. She has 11 cousins total and 2 of them are the same age as she is. They are so cute playing together and I love watching her enjoy herself and have fun.
Tammy Lee did great on all our adventures and was very cooperative. She mostly slept and enjoyed lots of attention from her Grandparents and Aunts.

First, we took the trax to SLC and ate at the City Creek mall. The kids played on a playground indoors and some of us looked at the beautiful lights. It was a great trip and we made sure to bundle up because it was so cold outside. Savannah loved the train... she kept saying "Choo Choo" and thought it was pretty neat we were riding one.

We went to the Jungle Gym located in Midvale and had a blast. We were pretty much the only ones there and were able to ride the rides as many times as we wanted to. There was so many fun rides and Savannah loved them all. She has no fear. Even on the super fast rides she was laughing and smiling the whole time. The only time she was sad was every time the rides ended... she never wanted to get off! haha

We had such a blast spending time with everyone on Stephen's side and I am so glad Savannah and Tammy Lee have so many fun cousins to grow up with and play with.
