Hudson: 9 months old

Hudson brings us so much JOY! It is hard to imagine not having him in our family.
He just turned 9 months and is finally sleeping better. He got thrush and would no longer take his binky so I decided to get rid of them altogether. Ever since then he has been sleeping SO much better. I usually only wake up 1 to 2 times a night with him which is way better then 3 to 5 times a night.
He is rolling around like crazy and will get to the other side of the room by rolling.
His two bottom teeth broke through.
He loves to eat solids and we will feed him almost anything we are eating.
He has gotten really good at the pincer finger grab when eating food.
He is still the snuggliest little guy ever.
Has become more interested in sitting and playing with toys that I put in front of him. This is a big deal because for the longest time he would never let me put him down. He always wanted to be held but he has become a little bit more independent.
Bath time is his favorite time and he splashes like crazy.
It is hard to believe that he will be 1 in three months.
Time is flying by so fast!

Rain for days...

People weren't joking when they said it rained a lot in Oregon. I wasn't quite prepared for so many gloomy days back to back to back. I have practically forgotten what the sky looks like by now bc all we see is clouds. ;)
It really makes you appreciate the sun when it does come out and we always take full advantage of no rain and head straight for the park.

Hudson's first time on the swing was a success. He was in heaven and flashed his big open mouth grin the entire time. The girls loved helping and pushing him back and forth.
When Sav is at preschool and Hudson is napping I get to spend time with just Tammy Lee. She is so darling and I love our conversations. As i was getting ready she wanted to wear one of my necklaces. I let her pick out a lipstick and I put pink lipstick on her and she was in heaven. I love her so much!

Sav was walking around the house after church in Dads close and I had to snap a picture of her. I have a picture just like this at a similar age.
Running errands with little ones can be a lot of work. These two had been so amazing today while I had a couple stores to visit so I got them a sucker.
T-Lee and Hudson's relationship melts me. She is so sweet to him. She has the cutest baby voice when she talks with him and loves him to be near. It will be so fun to see their relationship as they both grow.
 My heart could explode!

2016 New Year

2015 went by so fast! So many exciting things happened in 2015. Stephen graduated from law school, passed the bar exam, and got a job in Portland. Hudson joined our family and is already 8 months old. We sold our home in Utah and bought a new home in Oregon. We did lots of traveling and went on a couple family vacations. Over all it was a wonderful year full of wonderful things and new adventures.
Can't wait to see what 2016 brings!

Something that is so important to me is eating dinner as a family each night. It is a time when we can all sit down together while we eat, chat, and tell each other about our days. Love my family so very much!
I forgot to include these pictures below in my Christmas post. Elysse wanted to wrap a bad gift and give it to the girls. She wrapped toilet paper for Savannah and a potato for Tammy Lee. Let's just say their reactions were priceless. Savannah was pretty disappointed and threw the toilet paper on the ground. Tammy Lee wasn't quite sure how to respond and was coached on what to do by Savannah. I am so glad I caught it on film. Don't worry though... Elysse gave them a real present after and they were happy again. :)

Jessie got me this coat for Christmas and it is the perfect rain jacket for Oregon!
It snowed in Oregon! We had so much fun playing in it. There was only an inch of snow and church was canceled.

Those cheeks are so squishable. Love my 8 month old Huddy!

One of our favorite things to do in Sherwood is go to the library. They have so many fun activities and they don't cost a dime.

    Snuggliest little boy!
Nooooo! First Savannah caught the stomach bug... now Tammy Lee.... and Hudson was next. :(
After Hudson has been throwing up all night I gave him a bottle of pedialyte. He has only had a handful of bottles but he loved every minute of drinking that juice.
1.8.16 - After 20 back tickles, 2 bottles of pedialyte, 1 box of clorox sanitizing wipes. multiple naps, and 9 loads of laundry later these two have conquered the stomach bug. #phew

I love this picture so much because Savannah is so excited about her CTR cookie she got from church and Tammy Lee is proudly holding up her scriptures int he background.
Tammy Lee has watched Savannah be a Sunbeam and was patiently waiting for it to be her turn. She was beaming from ear to ear after church on Sunday and couldn't stop talking about how much she loved being in primary!
I have decided to change my eating habits. I realized that I eat way to many sweats and treats and it was taking a toll on my well being. I was getting headaches, feeling sluggish, etc. I have joined a challenge group and have been eating very healthy. It is amazing how much better I feel!
 Those cheeks are so kissable.
On our weekly walk to the library Savannah saw a frog and wanted to take a picture with it. Can you spy it?
I love to have one on one time with Tammy Lee. She will tell me stories that never end, bring me multiple books to read, and request many songs to sing. Her fav songs right now are: "cheek, chin, nose", "A Child's Prayer", "This is the way the ladies' ride."
1.15.16 Can I freeze time? Savannah is almost 5 and starts kindergarten this year and I can hardly handle it. This morning she woke up earlier than usual and while everyone was sleeping she cleaned the play room and made her bed with being asked. She came to my room and told me she had a surprise for me. She has always been so sweet, helpful, and caring of others.
The bathrooms need to be cleaned and and strapping this small human to me is the only way I will be able to get them done. #joysofmotherhood

Christmas Card 2015

We sent our christmas card out this year through e-mail. Here it is:

Merry Christmas from The Jett Family:

Hudson just turned 7 months and is obsessed with bananas. Although he can’t talk, walk, crawl, or sit up yet, he is a master at keeping his mommy up at night. He loves to giggle when his sisters make silly sounds, and has the best open mouth smile we’ve ever seen. Our biceps have doubled in size due to his lack of desire to be put down, and so we have decided to forego gym memberships in 2016!

Tammy Lee turned 3 in September and is the epitome of sweetness. She has her daddy so wrapped around her finger that I’m surprised she doesn’t have a car yet. She has the cutest rosy-red cheeks, and wants to snuggle all day. She loves reading books, Peppa Pig (it’s a show), tripping, slipping, falling, colliding, or anything that involves coming into contact with a hard surface. We have a separate insurance policy just for her.

Savannah turns 5 in February and is the perfect older sister for her younger siblings. From making the beds in morning (that’s right – beds as in plural), to helping hold Hudson (well, at least for a few seconds…he’s a heavy boy), to scratching Tammy Lee’s back when she gets sick, she does it all. Oh, and she’s a Lucky Duck. Literally. That’s the name of her preschool. She loves to be tickled, make crafts, and is our social butterfly. She constantly talks about her 3 boyfriends in her preschool class (shhhhhhhhh, don’t tell Stephen).

Jen feels so blessed to have 3 amazing children and a hard-working husband. She loves decorating and organizing the new home, but realizes that with the kids around it may be a lost cause! She loves Oregon, but probably wasn’t quite prepared for the constant winter rain (seriously though, will it ever stop?). When she isn’t holding Hudson (never), she is thinking of creative ways to entertain her girls and cooking new healthy meals she’s never tried before. Her one dream is a Trader Joe’s within a 15-minute drive.

Stephen is loving life. This year he finished law school, passed the bar exam, and took his dream job as the corporate in-house attorney for a company here in Oregon. He recently received his dream church calling: working with the Young Men! He is always on the go, but takes the time to make sure each of his children feel loved. When he’s not playing ping pong/“working”, he’s chasing the girls around the house, spending quality time with yours truly, or wishing his Fantasy Football team was a lot better.

We hope this letter finds each of your families happy and well. Despite the many distractions that occur during this time of year it has been a joy to focus our thoughts on the birth of our Savior. I hope that as we strive to become more like Him, we will have joy and happiness in our lives and peace each day of the year.

Love, The Jett Family

Christmas in Georgia

My side of the family all made the trip out to Georgia this year. It was so fun to be all together even though we all lived far from one another.
Some of my favorite memories were late night chats, playing games as a family, Travis and chase singing "hush little baby" to ellianna, acting out the nativity on Christmas Eve, visiting our old stomping grounds in powder springs, and just spending quality time with each of you. There isn't anything better than family!

It was so fun seeing life long friends. Katie and I have been best friends since 5th grade and were roommates in college. It had been 4 years since we had seen one another and she just had a little girl. It was so fun to catch up and spend some time together.

Nothing better than chubby babies in the tub!
CHRISTMAS EVE FUN!
Christmas Eve with the Allman's like the good ole' days!

 Christmas morning
Savannah (4 years, 10 months) Tammy Lee (3 years, 3 months)
Hudson (8 months)
We also got to see Ben, Christy, Emma, Matthew, Julie, and Adam. It was so fun seeing more family. We love them so much!
These grand babies have a pretty amazing Nana and Papa!

Visiting our old stomping grounds! We went to our old high school and drove by our old home in Echo Mill!

Seeing another one of my life long best friends Kelly! She has three boys similar to the ages of my kids. I had never met any of them. We had so much fun catching up. We wish we were neighbors!
The aftermath of the pie face game!
 Emma and Hudson snuggles!
