o0o baby...

I am now 27 weeks. I can't believe I only have 13 weeks left out of 40. It has gone by so fast. Probably because I have been SO busy with school and haven't been able to slow down. Our little girl is quite active. Stephen and I can't figure out if she is going to be a little dancer or a little athlete. Either way she kicks, jumps, and moves around in my stomach constantly. I remember when I first started feeling little movements but wasn't sure if it was really her or if my stomach was just growling. Well now there is no question in my mind... those kicks are clear as day. I love it so much.
Last weekend we bought the crib and changing table from Babies r Us... we got a good deal on them from the black Friday sales. We can't wait until the crib finally gets here so we can start working on her room. I love decorating and already have a whole plan mapped out in my head of how I want it to look. I can't wait!

I have a question for anyone who has been pregnant before! I already started having those fake contraction things... I think? Randomly my stomach will tighten up for 10 seconds or so throughout the day. Is that normal at 7 months? It isn't painful it just feels a little weird and I didn't know they came that early.

Anyways, I hope everyone had a happy Monday!

  1. Braxton Hicks are what they are called......I started getting them at 27 weeks too. As long as they don't become consistent or you get more than 4 an hour they are nothing to be alarmed about. I noticed that I would get them on days I was way super active......lifted heavy things, painted, did a hard work out, etc. When you start to feel them drink a big glass of water and put your feet up or lay on your left side for a few minutes and they should go right away. Got to love the things your body does making room for baby and practicing for labor. :) I am so excited for you and hope everything keeps going well!

  2. totally normal! although if you are in any way worried always call your doctor. I was told to drink water and start walking around, and if they weaken and stop you are usually experiencing braxton Hicks- which are your uterus' way of practicing and getting ready for labor. You can usually get them if you sit still for too long or if your do too much! It really is scary at first but trust your body, you'll know when it is the real deal! So excited for you. We just found out we are having a little girl too!

Yeah, like your friends here said, it's totally normal to have those Braxton Hicks. I didnt start having them till I was around 30 weeks or even lather..I dont remember. Just make sure that if it's painful, you call the doctor, but I am sure you'll know when they are the real contractions..hehehehe
