Whitney and Phillip come to town!

Whitey and Phillip came to visit us and we have a blast showing them around Oregon!
They were so sweet and helpful with the girls.
We hiked up Multnomah falls with the girls on Thursday while Stephen was at work. It was quite an intense hike since it was all uphill and there were a lot of switchbacks. Savannah walked the whole way and was such a trooper. I carried Hudson in the backpack and Whitney and Phillip helped Tammy Lee make it to the top. Once we made it to the top we ate lunch and played in the water. The water was freezing but Savannah didn't mind one bit.
We got a babysitter Friday night and went to Portland to get some ice-cream from Salt and Straw. They have all kinds of interesting flavors and it was worth the long line we stood in.
We also took them to the coast in Lincoln City. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed playing in the sun and made a fire to roast some marshmallows.
I am grateful for these fun memories we made!

Catch up! Beginning of August!

We love the weather in Oregon during the summer time. It is so mild and manageable all day long. We have been going to a lot of splash pads and love getting together with the Warr Family. They only have a couple weeks left before they head home to Utah so we are trying to soak in as much time with them as we can. :(
Hudson is growing so much! He is 15 months but is still not walking. He is getting close though. He will stand and take one or two steps before falling. He is so mischievous. He climbs on everything and tries to get to everything he knows he shouldn't. Once he makes it to the stairs he looks back at me with this big grin and crawls up them as fast as possible before I grab him. While I make dinner he opens up the cabinets and just starts throwing everything out of them. He is a pro at making messes and keeps me on my toes! He is so snuggly and lovable so it makes up for all the messes. ;)
While I was taking a shower Savannah and Tammy Lee were so excited to show me the "creations" they colored on their faces. They asked if I wanted to get my face colored. #joysofmotherhood
I have really been working hard at preparing for my 10k in September. I have been running and working out a lot. The fitbit has helped me to be very active and work to achieve my goals. It is amazing how much better I feel when I am taking care of my body and health.

Utah Bound

We took a rode trip to Utah for the second time this year. Driving 12 hours with three kids is quite the task but is always worth it to see family. There are deff times throughout the drive I think I never want to do this again... but once we create so many fun memories it is always worth every effort.
We spent three days in park city with Stephen's family. We went boating, shopping, and cruised around the city. I ran every morning with Elisa and enjoyed spending time and chatting with her. My favorite was watching my kids interact and play with their cousins. They loved every minute of it!
We later enjoyed our weekend at Travis and Rachel's. They just moved into their new home in Vineyard and were so gracious to let our family of five stay with them. We were able to attend Ellie's 1st birthday party which was a blast. We drove home saturday afternoon and got home around 4 am. We had to take a 2 1/2 hour detour bc there was a wildfire on I-84. It was rough but we were so happy to be home safe and sound. I love this family of mine so much and love all these memories we are making.
