The Law School Student's Wife...

I think I have a little taste of what it would be like to be a single mom. Having a husband in law school is pretty much like being a single mom. Today is Wednesday and since Monday I have only seen Stephen for a total of 2 hours. Normally it isn't this crazy but this week in particular is super busy because they have their Trial Advocacy competition and Stephen keeps winning the debates so he moves on to the next round. I feel bad because a part of me wishes he would loose so that he can come home to us. ;)

All in all it isn't too bad. I have gotten used to it. Normally he gets home around 7 and we eat dinner, he chases Savannah around the house, we give the girls baths, tuck them in bed, and then we cuddle on the couch and catch up! Sometimes my days are looooong. It isn't easy to keep a 2 year old entertained inside all day long. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for the summer so we can go on walks, the park, etc. Thank goodness for some great friends who keep me company while we let our kiddos run around and play!!

I am so grateful Stephen is such a hard worker and is so determined. He has so many great qualities. He always does all he can to be home with us and when he is home he makes every minute count!

This and that...

Has anyone else hated this winter as much as me? I am done with all the sickies going around, icy roads, snow, and cold weather. I am longing for spring time and the sun to come out again. I want to get out of the house and I get tired of constantly worrying that my girls or Stephen and I will catch some kind of sickness if we go somewhere. We have been making the best of this cold winter and there isn't a day that goes by that these cute girls don't make me smile and laugh.

Savannah loves to wear her sunglasses. The best is when she puts them on by herself because they are usually crooked and backwards but she doesn't seem to mind.

She is brushing her teeth in style with her pink shades.

Have I mentioned how much fun I am having being able to do Savannah's hair now that she has enough of it. She knows that doing her hair is a part of our routine each morning and she will happily grab me the spray bottle, hair ties, and comb! ;)

Savannah is so ready for T-Lee to start playing with her. She always brings her toys to play with, asks her to sit by her, and tickles her and I think she is getting tired of the no response. Stephen always puts savannah on his back and crawls around the floor and Savannah decided she wanted to have Tammy Lee ride on her back. Tammy Lee is such a good sport! ;)

She looks so big in these pictures. I can't believe I have a toddler... what? SO crazy how fast time flies by and I love watching her grow. She is talking up a storm and is putting 2 and 3 words together. Her favorites are:
"Where is it?"
"Mama sit, me sit"
"Mama, Dada, T T, Me" (While pointing to each one of us)

Now that Savannah is in a big girl bed I was able to finish Tammy Lee's room. I love the bright and happy colors!

We had T-Lee's 4 month appt the other day. She is 15 lbs and 25 inches long. 75th% for weight and 86th% for height. She is my chubby girl and I love that she is so healthy. Savannah was always so little so its new to have to clean between all her fat rolls when giving her a bath. haha love her!

Savannah was so easy to transfer to a big girl bed. She has done amazing and never leaves her bed... I feel very lucky!

TWINNERS!

Teddy

My Grandma Felt gave me this teddy bear for Christmas when I was younger. It is so soft and cuddly. I had it in Savannah's room when she was born and the last year she has become so attached to it. She sleeps with it in her bed and drags it everywhere around the house. She likes the teddy to eat snacks with her, watch Elmo with her, and do puzzles with her. Sometimes I will grab the Teddy's arms and act as if he is picking up toys or doing a puzzle on his own and she loves it. When the bear isn't in sight she will raise her hands in the air and say, "Teddy?" Luckily it is a big teddy bear so we always find him fairly quickly... it is kind of impossible to loose him.

Here she is loving her Teddy!

Tammy Lee 4 months old

My little 5 pound preemie baby is not so little anymore! Tammy Lee is already 4 months and I can hardly believe it. Time passes by so quickly. She is growing up so fast and is so chubby I can hardly stand it. She has the squishiest cheeks and has rolls all over her thighs. It is so cute. Her cheeks are so big that you can't even see her neck...I love it!

Her neck is getting so strong and she can hold it up really well. We still do tummy time daily much to her dismay... she isn't the biggest fan of tummy time.

She is such a good sleeper and only wakes up once during the night to eat.

She loves when you talk to her and will give you the biggest smile.

She has a very calm temperment and is such a good baby.

She loves the binky!

She loves when Savannah interacts with her and always gives her big smiles.

She loves sucking her hands and fingers until her shirt is covered with drool.

She has beautiful big blue eyes.

Her hair is getting lighter and lighter like Savannah's did. I am assuming she will be a blondy as well!

We are loving watching Tammy Lee grow... I just wish time would slow down... she is growing up too fast!

Lost Socks

My cute sister in law Jessie and I have been having fun making crafts together. She found this cute idea on pinterest and we went to town with it.

I think it turned out pretty darn cute and it works well hanging in my laundry room!

Chop

I finally got brave and cut my hair! I was so ready for a change and my hair was in serious need of something new... I had some major split ends! I am loving the shorter hair. There are so many benefits to it: you use less shampoo and conditioner, it takes less time to blow dry and style, and it's a whole lot lighter!
I am happy with the results! Thanks Trisha!

Daddy's Girl

Over Christmas break Stephen had a 3 week break from school and was able to spend all his time with us. We were all in heaven having him home with us... especially Savannah. She adores Stephen and was thrilled to see him each morning when she woke up. Yesterday Stephen started a new semester of school and when Savannah woke up she kept calling his name and went looking for him everywhere.

She went into every room and finally came to me with her hands in the air and said, "dada?" I said, "Daddy is back at school and he isn't home.... but Mommy is here."She looked at me with a look of dismay and said, "Oh noooooo!" Should I be hurt by that? ;) haha

It was so sweet to see how much she loves Stephen. I love their relationship... she is so lucky to have a dad who loves, adores, plays, tickles, and chases her daily.

Love those two!
